Qualification Rules
There are a few things I would like to note to you, the members, please if you have any questions regarding the following
notes contact me by email @ nbhaca15@aol.com or leave message on my phone and I will return your call @ 559-564-1491 hours: no earlier than 7am –
no later than 8 pm. SHOWS: We will be offering the Open & Youth classes only.
ENTRY FEE:
We are keeping our entry fees low due to the continued drop in our economy; we would like to make our NBHA events fun and
affordable times that the family can enjoy to participate in and still afford to put food on the table!
NEWSLETTER: Please note, we will update the web page regularly to replace our newsletter.
POINTS/RULES:
There will be a NBHA District 15 Binder at every show it will include the NBHA Rule Book along with Points and show results
for the year. We will continue to use a larger point system as approved by the NBHA. It will be the same format but a larger
scale, 5,4,3,2,1 is what we have done in the past, but with the amount of members in our district we will point 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1.
YEAR END AWARDS: OPEN CLASS: Cecil Phillips saddles endorsed by JERRI MANN will be given as first option to the first
in each division (we will go down to 10 places in each division). YOUTH CLASS: Quality saddles thanks to Circle N will be
awarded as first option in each division (depending on our turn out will depend on how many places we will be awarding down).
YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE YOUR YEAR-END AWARDS, IF YOU (THE MEMBER) ARE NOT PRESENT TO RECEIVE YOUR AWARD IT WILL BE
HANDED DOWN TO THE NEXT QUALIFING MEMBER. NBHA Member Outer district buy in for year -end awards only:
NBHA California members will be allowed to buy in for a fee
of $50.00 to qualify for our year end awards. We will not be there home district therefore they cannot qualify for state at
our shows unless it is a state qualifier and they will not qualify for nationals, this is a yearend award nomination fee only.
SPONSORS:

personally (559) 564-1491 or nbhaca15@aol.com VET OUTS: If you are at a show and your horse pulls up lame, you will need to notify our
office before the first contestant runs in show, NO EXCEPTIONS.
DISTRICT AWARD QUALIFICATION:
You must enter at least 9 shows of our 14 (please note we have 7 shows that are double pointed) to be eligible for year-end
awards (we are giving quality awards and feel your participation at our shows will help you to earn such nice awards). Our
double pointed shows will be pointed only for an additional $5.00 award fee per horse and $10.00 Process Fee per entry
SHOW INFORMATION: Entries close 30 minutes (1/2 hour before the show time), NO EXCEPTIONS. No members
are to be in the Office during our shows, only office personnel. If you have an issue that needs immediate attention and no
one is at the sign up table, please find Janet. Thank You. All discrepancies will need to be brought to the attention
of your district director.
Timed
Runs: We are limiting to 80 per show, if you are not at the
gate and timed runs are cut off you will not be offered a refund, it is your responsibility to be at the show in time and
be ready at the gate as we have allowed enough time for the timed runs that we have sold (see show schedule). NO EXCEPTIONS.
ADDED MONEY:
We will offer $500.00 added money to the open class and $200.00 to the youth class at each show for our 2012 season.
ENTRY FEE:
Open Class will have an entry fee of $30.00 + $10.00 process fee, the youth class will have an entry fee of $20.00 + $10.00
process fee; this process fee gives you the option to fill out raffle tickets for a cash raffle @ year end district finals
(see RAFFLE for rules).
District
Finals: Full Dress Code will be enforced. Our District Finals
will have a minimum of $1,000.00 added money to the open class depending obn our turn out for the youth class will determine
our added money. Must be a current District 15 member in good standings, have qualified by entering 9 sanctioned shows,
to compete at the district 15 finals.
RAFFLE: Our 2012 raffle will be a CASH BACK offer of places 10 @ $200.00 each and you must
be present to win.
